Novels

Novels written by Africans have gone through allot of transition ever since they started publishing,

They have themes on Pre Colonial Africa. They narrate the rich culture of the traditional African society before the interference from the west. Some even narrate the effect upon this culture and the reaction of the natives on the dawn of colonization

Post colonial Africa themes include the disillusionment of the Africans who are now oppressed by their own brothers in leadership. They also focus on the most current issues that are affecting the African continent like Civil wars, AIDS and corruption.
