The blind, bats and the Bible

As seniors in high school, six girls and I spent eight days in Washington DC. My roommate Jes and I were assigned to share a room with two other girls, picked at random from another school in the US. Over the course of our stay our pity and apprehension for the girls soon turned to distrust and skepticism--how blind were they, really?

Our actual first day on our trip was spent in an airport terminal in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The weather was too bad for safe travel. Instead, we made ourselves comfortable in the airport lobby, and waited and waited and waited.
