Call LogHome pagePeople say some strange things on the phone. Before the telephone was used as a medium for exceedingly important information to be spread in a short period of time, but now, it’s more of a tool to use to pass time and make dates. Unwillingly, I have become one of these people. My friends call me to talk about feet; my parents call to ask if I saw last night's “American Idol”; my fiancé calls to tell me he bought a pack of cigarettes on his check card. When did my phone life become so dull? So I decided I’d take record of –well—I’m not sure—strange, but normal conversations of my everyday life. Take your pick—start with my conversation about potatoes with my mom, my feisty grama watching MTV, or my senile grampa who has no clue.

| In the picture I was talking to my best friend, Kari. Usually when we were on the phone it was dead air, as most of the time we didn’t know what to say. We talked about our Barbies and easy-bake ovens and then it was quiet. Perhaps we felt we were obliged to stay on the phone until one of our parents said we had to get off.
