Ears

Remove the cotton ball you placed in the ears before the bath. With a cotton swab, apply talcum powder to the inside of the ears.

With your fingers, grip a few of the hairs inside the ear and pull quickly. Continue doing this until the ear canal is free of hair. If this hair is not removed periodically, it will continue to grow, curling around and around in the ear canal. Earwax will build up, become odorous, and infection or deafness can result.

Many poodles' ears get very waxy. If this is the case with your dog, use cotton balls and swabs and a few drops of an ear cleaning solution every few weeks.

Be cautious when penetrating the ear canal. Do not push the cotton swab in too deeply. Finish the job with a little talcum powder.
