Helping you soar

As a student at Bemidji State Univesity, you have incredible opportunities and experiences before you. As you furthur your education, you will interact with people from all walks of life. You will not only increase your academic and social skills, you will also learn more about yourself. At some point in your educational experience, you may find yourself in a situation where you need a helping hand.

You may be wondering if there are math tutors available, or where to go on campus if you have health concerns. If you are struggling with a chemical dependency issue, you need to know where to go for help. Or, you may have children and need to find daycare while you're at school. If you are new to the Bemidji area, you may need help getting around town or finding a job. Some of you may want to become involved in a campus organization or find a volunteer opportunity.

Where will you go for help?

No matter your situation, it's OK to ask for help. It's up to you to take the first step to improve your situation and get the help you need. There are people on campus and in the Bemidji community that want to help.

Mental Health: You are not alone...on and off campus help

Chemical Dependency: You are not alone...on and off campus help, area AA and NA meetings, online AA and NA meetings

Spiritual Life: Honoring each person's journey...on campus clubs, community worship services, internet resources

Academics: Taking you beyond the classroom...tutors, writing center, campus clubs and organizations, records and advising office

Community Support: Living on the edge...low-income, first generation, disabled students, public assistance

Child Care: Children come first...activities, parks, daycare, after school care

Politics: Every vote counts...voting information, on and off campus political opportunities

Volunteering: Helping hands in the community...community involvement, caring for others, helping with kids
