Bemidji Parks

Bemidji has many parks that can be enjoyed by a variety of people:

  • Adults
  • Kids
  • College students
  • Tourists
  • Bird watchers
  • Hikers
  • Teens
  • Bikers
  • Photographers
  • Painters

Most of these parks can be enjoyed throughout the entire year. The parks offer many of things for people to do.

Including:

  • Swimming-

  • -Cameron Park

    -Diamond Point Park

    -Nymore Park

    Lifeguards will be on duty daily from June 12 - August 8,  11:00 AM - 6:00PM

  • Walking and biking trails are available within the area of some of the parks-

    -Lake Bemidji State Park 12 Miles, 8 miles (paved).  Park permit required.

    -Loop the Lake Trail 14 Miles, partial trail, mostly paved road with shoulder, free parking at TIC.

    -Itasca State Park 16 Miles, All paved.  Trails and scenic drive route, rentals, park permit required.

    -Movil Maze 8 Miles, Mountain bike this and other XC ski trails.   Free parking.  

    -Paul Bunyan Trail (still being paved),  trail goes as far as Brainerd

  • All of the parks are suitable for bird watching
  • Some of the parks would make great places for family reunions or family picnics
  • Other activites may include-
    • fishing (where allowed)
    • exercise or just strolling
    • painting, reading, or relaxing
    • skiing
    • sledding
