Lofting and love seats
There are many ways to arrange and rearrange a dorm room. Experiment with how to arrange the items in your room and feel free to be as creative as possible. For two students in a room, you may want to bunk your beds or put both of them up on a loft so there is more space on the floor area. Lofts are provided either by the school or you will receive flyers in the mail. Lofting enables the freshmen to have extra space under their bed. Usually students put a futon or love seat/couch under their beds. Love seats are easier to fit through the door and sometimes lighter and easier to find than couches.
Counter space and appliances
The counter space under the windows in the BSU dorm rooms is a great place to put refrigerators, microwaves, tvs, computers, sometimes chairs or love seats. You may even notice some students put appliances on top of one another like a big leaning tower of appliances.

Entertainment system
With the beds lofted and the counter space used, you still need to find room for your entertainment system. Keeping your television and Playstations under one of the bunk beds lets you sit on the love seat while watching television. |
