KBSU TV
AboutKBSU is a closed-circuit television station broadcast on the BSU campus, as well as throughout Bemidji and surrounding areas. KBSU is run completely by students, most of whom are Mass Communication majors. These students choose what programs to produce and air. HistoryThe University's first television station was broadcast throughout Bemidji in 1971. Broadcasting ran 24 hours a day and consisted of a black-and-white TV camera pointed at 4x6 inch file cards which advertised non-profit events hosted by BSU and the rest of the community. These cards were attached to and rotated on bicycle rims that were run by a small electric motor. |
