LA Times shuts down its wiki page.
There could be several things wrong with this, mayhaps the first having an editorial page for a wiki collaborative effort? People opinions are hardly ever reconciled and allowing them to war back and forth about it is something best left to forums.
Would it work better on a news article? Perhaps a little bit. People could link in with historical perspectives that would elucidate the problems being told about in the article.
Of course, by that time, who's going to pay for a newspaper when they can just do the research themselves?
still not convinced wikis are the wave of the future.
