I have been away from the blog for a while :) , but, sometimes, I still get on line to have a look on it. I am too busy.
Now, I am in a Chinese camp in Concordia. I am working as a credit teacher to teach eight teenagers. They are from all over America. They are very cute kids. Most of them work hard.
All of us are required to speak Chinese to teach the kids. It's sorts of difficult. We have to use TPR methodology, gestures and facial expression. Although kids have great imagination, both of us need great patient.
It is really an interesting experience.

I've begun to catch up on my reading on found a short article on
Wikis in
PC Magazine and an article on
Blogging in the same issue of the magazine. The issue is 30 June 2003, so I'm not to far behind. Yes, I am! I started at the top of the stack which is the lastest dates. I ran a search on the magazine web site and came up with a couple of articles of interest.

Whitehouse Web Site This was to good to pass on posting. I can hear M. C. saying, "But what was the reason? Was it a deliberate choice or...?"

Wikilog hostingIf you're interested in building a wiki beyond BSU -
I spotted
wikilog hosting being advertised on blogspot.com. I figured someone would come up with this idea sooner or later. The front page is worth looking at for how it sells wikis over blogs.

Back on screenThe blogs and wikis course has been found again - and mentioned on
AbbeNormal. AbbeNormal is a wiki-weblog combo written by John Abbe in Sri Lanka.
Other news: We will be offering Blogs and Wikis again in spring, 2004 - and putting it forward as a permanent course: part of the BA, BS, BFA and MA degree. Pass it on.

Every excuse I had for not making writing a bigger part of my life was refuted at the
Northwoods Writers Conference 2003. Sometimes through something one of the guest writers said specifically about writing and their experience with writing. And other times through some particular aspect of the personal life of
the writer which I was privileged to witness because of holding an intern position at the conference. This conference is one of the things I will carry with me long beyond my years at BSU. Just like these
wikis and
blogs have and will continue to be a part of my life beyond
the classroom.
