Renee isn't the only one feeling the combinaton of exhaustion, normal life seperation, and sheer perpetual wonderment of the writers conference. I have been sparked by the events to add some words to the Peppergreen Contingent!?!... Hello out there I dropped the ball on creating a new blog for the conference, but have been writing tidbits on my own weblog linked off the sidebar. The evening readings are well worth attending. That link/site is one of the wildest things I've ever seen. I could watch it for hours I think. Outta hand...thanks, Doc. the world as blog You gotta see this. It's a world map that shows blog postings as people make them. One of the stranger ways of reading... Sunday, June 8
Not a bad idea, about the conference blog, if the other interns are game....I'll set it up, but not now. I'm heading into an all night shift at work. Need to enjoy my yard and drink some coffee before I leave. Ciao. . .. Blog for the Writers Conference Anyone thought of setting up a blog for the Northwoods Writers Conference? Not sure what it would *be* exactly. Perhaps daily reports and commentary from the interns. Just a thought. Republished Renee asked - "I wonder if the fellow who brought us all together would kindly hit the "republish all" button in the archive spot for the daybook?" Done. Sorry I haven't dropped in for a while, but I'm back in the blog again. Jing, I did get your message, but have been errant in returning anyone's messages I guess. I will be back in classes on Monday and will have my mind back in it again I hope. See you all then. Saturday, June 7
Different from habit? I wonder if the fellow who brought us all together would kindly hit the "republish all" button in the archive spot for the daybook? Friday, June 6
I was just looking on wiktionary.org and see they were at one time looking for a definition of Neologisms. I bet if someone's definition were to be chosen, they'd be considered "the fashizzle dizzle". It does though look like they have some kind of handle on it, with definitions for stable, diffused, and unstable, that people have added here. They still amaze me, Wikipedia and Wiktionary...they are the fashizzle dizzle! I am not reading this... Just to let you know: I am not looking in on this blog a few times a week. I am not following the conversation with interest. I am not thinking about this. Not. Ceci n'est pas Magritte I think I've been to that store. There's also one on Snelling and University...I think it was Snelling. Maybe Dale. Not far from the Fairgrounds. 1/2 Price Books I think. I drool in those places. Don't know titles off hand, but when I go, I find them. I work Friday afternoon, but I bet I can stop by at the very least and see what shakes out immediately before hand, thanks for the scoop, Karl. See you tomorrow. Hey Jeff, I found a bookstore near the corner of Snelling and Grand Ave. in Saint Paul that has about 20-30 soft-cover pulp fiction books. Any specific titles you looking for? also, TAGA meeting friday at 3 on picnic table outside Pine Hall (incase you didnt get the email). And the first week of summer classes nears an end... :) Thursday, June 5
Woo hoo! I'm not the Omega man~! I have been doing a little writing, Faith, not nearly as much as I should, but I have been doing alot more reading, as when textbooks are in season, that's about all I know how to cook, if you know what I am saying. Are you going to the Writers Conference? I wish that I was, but I am poor. I did however get another job, so that makes two, and if I could pack another in, I would. One thing with my writing at present, when I was in classes, I had so many different prompts, or ideas that went under my nose, that writing about *something didn't seem like the problem it is right now. I said that so well I almost believe it myself! HA! Perhaps I will attend some of the nightly readings in the Student Union if I can though, and that will get my skull rattled enough to commence the clicking of the keyboard. Off to read. A new one by an old favorite author of mine...kind of pulpy, but typically a fun quick read. Graham Masterton. See ya! Sunday, June 1
Sorry Karl, I was in Mpls. till late last night, then up to the Falls to empty the house out and back to Bemidji. I wanted to take the fiction section, but wasn't able to take any of the conference. I am doing an internship at Lakeland PTV, digital photo, documentary film and technical writing. Monday-Thurday for me, both sessions. |
