| Banff is a small town of a couple thousand people that resides within the Canadian Mountains. Banff is located about 60 miles northwest from Calgary in the Banff National Park. To some people, Banff is considered heaven on earth. Banff is a big recreational town. It has many shopping stores that specialize in skis and outdoor gear. Most of the buildings are made out of logs which make the town very rustic and fun to shop in. Everything that they have to offer is extremely reasonable because of the exchange rate from U.S. to Canada. This town has a little bit of everything that any outdoor enthusiasts would want to do. I visited it in the winter so I will discuss the winter activities that it has to offer. They are:

| These are just a few that you can enjoy. They have everything that I can imagine you can have for winter activities. We stayed just outside of the state park in a small town resort just outside Canmore called the Stockade. This place had individual cabins made out of logs where we stayed . Every cabin had their own wood stove and maid service. The Stockade was only about 5 miles to Banff, which was really convenient. Our stay here was great. They always keep the place clean, the people were really friendly and the price was extremely reasonable. |
