Preface

Purpose

This site was created for people to come and have fun. It really does not have any seriousness to it. I wanted to make a site for fun and enjoy myself while making it.

Design Decisions

I wanted to keep the site fairly simplistic since the whole joke was in the writing. I did not want much taking away from that. I went with the larger banner and small print to help me with this. At first I thought by having a plain color with small bold letters would keep the simple look to it. After making the banner I realized that this was accomplished but it also had a different meaning that helped me. The large banner is the world and the things that make you mad, not all that big, was the title in smaller print.

As far as having a menu throughout the site, I did not want to make it easy for people to get around. I figured that since they had to read to get the joke, they could read to get the link; also, this was an important part of the assignment.

I do start off on the first page with a choice as far as to where the person feels like diving into, entertainment, life, or people.

Since my site was fairly on a comedy basis I thought that by having the link to the home page somewhat hidden, it would ad to the fun.

Text

As far as the text is concerned, I did not really have a problem at first. I had my subjects that I wanted to write about, the main idea that I wanted to complain about, and realized that I wanted to keep it short, as to not ruin the joke.

After writing the first two pages, I was worried as how I was going to link each page as I had decided to not have a menu throughout the site. I began to read each sentence carefully and found that there were some words that I could use.

Writing this site was pretty close to how I would write for a paper or other publication. I did know to keep it short, as people do not like to read long things on the web if they are just surfing. I did find myself getting to the point a lot quicker however.

Difficulties

I did not run into many troubles with this site. I had drawn it out pretty close to how I wanted it and made it to scale. The only major problem that I ran into was making the links in the text. I was not sure if I wanted to be totally annoying and link a lot, making most of those links go to the same page, or keep the links down and link to a different page for each link.

I finally decided to combine the two; I cut my links down a little making sure that most links on a page link to a different page. However, there are a few pages with links that link to the same page, which can get a little annoying.

Notes to the Reader

If you are going to read this site you should read it with an open heart remembering that I am just poking fun and I am not a professional, I am a college student with a sense of humor.

If you are not will to read this site like that then I recommend you read this as a concerned parent afraid of the world that your children are going into. You could also read this site as a male pig whom does not have any feelings but I do not recommend it.

I feel that I have brought out a great character for everyone to enjoy, just keep in mind that this character is only a part of me and does not describe me as a whole.
