Jeff

I hadn’t given much thought to the Minnesota Twins for a long time until Jeff came along. He hadn’t thought about them much lately either, but he felt they were going to be really good that first spring I knew him. It was 2001.

Jeff didn’t get cable at his house, so he always came over to my dorm room to watch the game. He was very patient as I asked many technical questions about the game. We'd sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the 7th Inning Stretch. We got to know the players and learned how to spell Mientkiewicz.

Once I moved out of my dorm room and into an apartment, I also did not have cable. So we listened to them on the radio. I think I almost like the radio better.

Jeff and I will be married in November, and I'm looking forward to many more baseball seasons together.
