Proper Gun Handling
Double-Hand

Hold the firearms grip in one had. Hold the gun's forearm in the other
hand. Using this carry gives the handler the best control.
Cradle Carry

Cradle the barrel in the bend of one arm. If your hunting party is
moving in a line, it is unsafe for the person in the middle to use this
carrying technique.
Elbow Carry

Hold the forearm of the gun over your elbow, let the stock of the barrel
rest against the back of your upper arm. The muzzle of the gun should
be pointing down. Utilizing this carry gives the handler the least control,
and should only be used when hunting alone.
Shoulder Carry

Rest the gun on the top of your shoulder by holding the grip. Only
use this technique when no one is behind you.
Trail Carry

Hold the stock with one hand, and make sure the muzzle is pointed at
the ground.
Some things to remember
When loading and unloading your firearm always make sure it is pointed
at the ground and away from other hunters.

When not shooting, make sure that the firearm's safety is on and the
action is open.
