How
To Have A Great Day . . .
Cindy
Preuett

Have a great day!
can be a reality in your life - -
not just a worn-out saying!
Try
some of these ideas . . .
Wake
up with gratitude!
- Open your eyes each morning
and consider the day a gift - - many didn't get another day . . .
you did.
- Get a special notebook -
write down things you're thankful for (a Gratitude Journal) so your
eye as well as your mind can see all that's good in your life.
- Say Thank You
to whatever power in the universe that you believe in for the great
day you're about to have.
Anticipate
a great day!
- Expect to have a great day
and most likely you will.
- Tell yourself what a positive
day you're going to have today - - regardless of the weather, other
people, or whatever.
- Recall the best thing that
happened to you yesterday. Experience it again for at least a moment
or two.
Be your own
cheerleader!
- Say positive things
to yourself all day long. Don't forget to give yourself some praise.
- Remember you're a capable
person - -
you have many gifts that are uniquely yours.
- Remind
yourself of your successes, even the small ones. Look at yourself as
a successful person.
Plan on having
a great day!
- Set clear, realistic (and
some fun) goals for your day.
- List, either mentally or
on paper, what you want to accomplish today.
- Have just enough on your
list - -
don't overwhelm yourself with too much or limit yourself with too little.
Smile and
laugh!
- Greet the world with a
smile, laughter, zest, and humor.
- Don't feel like smiling?
Do it anyway - - you'll soon feel like it. Fake it 'til you make it!
- Play and have fun every
day.
Do simple
acts of kindness!
- Be kind in big or small
ways - - remember, when you do something nice for someone you'll make
your day better too.
- Remember, a simple compliment
can make a big difference in someones day and life.
- Talk and listen to others
sincerely.

. . Unless You've Made Other
Plans!

.
. . try some of these things to help you have an icky day.
Wake up with dread.
As
soon as you open your eyes think, "Oh no! Another #!*!- day..."
Also, start your day being rigid and cranky.
Wallow in negativity.
Harbor
resentments and internalize stress. Make
sure to feel sorry for yourself.
Be
your own worst enemy.
Remember
everything you have
failed at since childhood then
pick
out every little thing that you dislike about yourself and dwell on
it.
Plan an awful day.
Expect
the worst and think of everything that you possibly could do and everything
that could possibly go wrong -
make sure to overwhelm yourself.
Frow and grumble
all day.
Whine, complain,
nag. and blame. Make
sure to be
as self-centered as possible.
End the day badly.
Worry
about tomorrow.Wallow
in the misery of all the bad things that happened today.
